Meet the Owners
The Rowells
K&T Farms at The Bramblewoods is a marriage of two farms, literally.
Kevin started K&T Farms in 2017 alongside his father with the goal to provide healthy food for the community and engage youth in learning about food production. They started growing in rented lots in Cobb County, eventually expanding to a full acre in Powder Springs. They focused on naturally grown, flavorful produce raised with organic methods. In addition to selling at farmer’s markets and produce stands, they also donate a portion of their produce to local food banks.
Melinda started raising goats and sheep on her parents’ land in 2006 while in college. In 2016 she transitioned her goat herd to nigoras for fiber production, and in 2017 added alpacas to the herd. She and her mother also grew a large home garden, experimenting with different regenerative practices. Melinda has spent over 10 years involved in agritourism and veterinary medicine and has always loved educating families on the value of agriculture.
In 2022, Kevin and Melinda met and quickly fell in love. In 2023 they purchased Melinda’s aunt’s land in Bartow county and started merging their two farms together. Located in beautiful Rydal, Georgia at the foothills of the North Georgia mountains, K&T Farms at The Bramblewoods is now home to alpacas, fiber goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, and regenerative fruit and vegetable production.
With over 60 acres of pastures, rolling hills, and hardwood forest, the farm is a part of a family homestead that strives to balance farming with stewarding the beautiful piece of nature we live in. We practice regenerative agricultural practices to improve soil conditions, manage invasive plants, and allow native plants and animals to flourish within our farm.
